Paint Out League City was attended by artist, Jim Burkholder recently. The Outdoor Painter’s Society in partnership with League City, Texas sponsored the event where over 30 artists painted scenes from the waterfront city. The art was painted outdoors or “plein air” which allows the artists to visualize the colors, lights, and values more readily. The paintings that Jim entered in the show were elected to receive the “People’s Choice Award”. The painting of the historical Dibrell Coons home built in 1908, was a hit with townspeople that attended the reception at the civic center.
