This South Texas Ranch could not be a better setting for this Big Buck painting.  Sendero Viejo is a new painting by James Burkholder.  The image shows a mature buck deer sizing up the viewer next to a sendero, or ranch road. Apple Trees of Normandy, is a painting by James Burkholder of Rockartscity Gallery, Harlingen Texas. Since it was done as a commission for a client it is not available at this time.  The art is acrylic on canvas 36 x 60.  James enjoys painting landscapes, especially from scenes he has taken in on travels in the US and Europe.   Jane’s Bouquet is the title of our latest painting, which was done on commission by the artist James Burkholder. RockArtscity Gallery shows original art and prints by James and other artists. James’ main interests in painting are landscapes, wildlife, and still life.  Interestingly, several years ago, James was asked to paint the main auction art for the Ronald McDonald fundraiser, Wildlife Feast.  The title of the painting was Tecomate Trophy, which was an impressive success for the auction. Key West Cat

Key West Cat by James Burkholder Artist

Here is an acrylic on masonite board painting that was inspired by the Hemingway House in Key West, Florida.  We were there on vacation a few years ago, and did a bicycle tour of Key West.  I was enchanted by the Hemingway House and the legend of the Six toed Cats.  I took a few photos of the property, and when I returned home I did the art you now see.  There will be prints made in the near future, so stay tuned to this portfolio, and see when you can get yours.
